On 5 June 2023, Pibulsongkram Rajabhat University (PSRU) held the event on the occasion of World Environment Day. One of the important activities was Asst. Prof. Dr. Chumpol Semakhan, the President of PSRU, signed an agreement on environmental cooperation with various government and non-governmental organizations in Phitsanulok Province. Also, Mr. Phusit Somchit, Governor of Phitsanulok honorably presided over the event at Central Plaza Phitsanulok. So, this cooperation makes a stand that the university becomes one of the partners in the waste management network and develops the environment of the province according to the BCG Development Model.

               “Phitsanulok, a city that uses waste” at the World Environment Day event with cooperation from many sectors, both public and private, including people who participate in the development of the area. In this activity, a classroom was organized to learn about the management and utilization of solid waste as a guideline for developing and solving solid waste and environmental problems.

               Furthermore, Pibulsongkram Rajabhat University’s Faculty of Management Science is conscious of the significance of starting a program to address the environmental issue as global awareness of environmental issues increases. In order to address this problem, the Faculty of Management Science developed a bachelor’s degree program in “Waste Management, Logistics, and Creative BCG Business Major” (Bachelor of Business Administration / Bachelor of Business Administration) and is prepared to accept applications from those who are interested in the program for the academic year 2023.

          The team of the Faculty of Agricultural Technology and Food participated in the exhibition booth “Organic Garden” through a presentation of research / academic service work / agricultural innovation knowledge under the concept of “Green Innovation Community”

               The new economic model or BCG Model is a holistic economic development that will develop the economy in 3 dimensions simultaneously, consisting of 3 main concepts as follows:

• B stands for Bio-Economy, a bio-economy system that focuses on the cost-effective use of biological resources.
• C stands for Circular Economy, which is a circular economy system that takes into account the reuse of various materials as much as possible.
• G stands for Green Economy, which is a green economy system that aims to solve pollution problems and reduce the impact on the world.
